FC Vaihtopenkki plays its home games in Sankarinniemi. The old stadion was repaired in the summer of 2006 and has now a total capacity of 43,550.

After being bought by the club in April of 2003, he played fifteen seasons in the club before retiring at the end of season 33. He was named the coach for the team on November 10, 2007.
