Originally founded on September 22, 2005 as Club Panamá. On September 15th 2008 the team was purchased by HMPTY and the name was changed to Cangrejo Utd. and played under this name until February 11th 2009 when it was purchased by Panamanian sports journalist Adán De Gracia Esmenjaud.
