MediaWiki talk:Sidebar

There's a whole lot of "categories" and links here, and some more will probably appear. I'm not sure this is the correct way of displaying them - there's already too much clutter, as a total of 27 links are currently presented in the sidebar. They're not even alphabetically sorted, so usability is at its minimum. I suggest drastically decreasing the number of links, and creating valid lists on the Main Page. --Catalyst2950 16:24, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

I'm going to play in the Sandbox for a while. I think a nice alternative would be to have several floated DIV's in various colours, that group certain link categories. --Catalyst2950 16:42, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

Here we go: Meta:Sandbox. I have created nine nice little floated standards-compliant boxes (generic block elements), which means they happily play along with different screen resolutions and different font sizes. The default size could be decreased a bit to make three of them horizontally fit in 1024x768. However, editing them on a per-box basis doesn't really work. Changing Helper Applications into CHPP is somewhat misleading, as some Helper Applications are not CHPP. There are a number of tools that don't require login or any contact with Hattrick itself. --EchoMan 10:46, February 3, 2009 (UTC)
