In Hattrick, a number of abbreviations are used in the conferences. The meanings of those abbreviations are as follows:

AIM - Attack in the Middle
AOW - Attack on Wings
CA - Counter Attack
CD – Central Defender
ECD - Extra Central Defender
OCD - Offensive Central Defender
EFW - Extra Forward
EIM - Extra Inner Midfielder (also: XIM)
FTW - Forward Toward Wing
GK - Goalkeeper
GM - Game Master
HOL - High On Life
HT - Hattrick
IM – Inner Midfielder
MOD - Moderator
MOTS - Match of the Season
NT – National Team
PC – Play Creatively
PIC - Play it Cool
POE - Paradise on Earth
PM – Playmaking
SE - Special Event
SP - Set Pieces
TS - Team Spirit
WB – Wingback
WO - Walk Over (Team that will lose 5:0)
WTM - Winger Toward Middle
YP - Youth Pull.
