SOTV or S**t on the Villa are an English football team formed on 23rd December 2003 in Greater Manchester by their ever present manager, Squiz. The club's nickname is the Blues due to the colour of their kit, and their supporters are known as the Zulu Army. The club has won seven league titles and currently plays in division III.5.

History

Early Years (Seasons 21-29)

The club was formed under the name S**t on the Villa on 23rd December 2003 (Season 21) by squiz who immediately appointed himself as manager. The club started out with a squad of weak and inadequate players in division V.111 and despite overwhelming odds managed to avoid relegation in their first couple of seasons, finishing 6th twice and winning the subsequent qualifiers.

The following season the team went one better, and comfortably reached 5th place, again winning their qualifier to stay up. By Season 24, the team was looking more confident in the fifth tier and only lost the title to Monkeh City on goal difference. The following season, the Blues again finished 2nd, though this time they finished 9 points behind the winners, Kevski, who had a 100% record.

Despite the two consecutive 2nd place finishes, manager Squiz decided he needed to make changes to progress further, and the club switched it's emphasis in training to defence. It took time for improvements to show on the pitch though, and in season 26 the team slumped to 5th, though they did win their qualifier to stay up. Season 27 the Blues hit 3rd place, season 28 they went one better to 2nd, until finally in Season 29 they won their first league title, taking 39 points from 42 to beat rivals Myst to 1st place by 7 points. This resulted in S**t on the Villa auto-promoting to division IV.32 after nearly 9 seasons in the 5th tier.

Division IV (Seasons 30-33)

...the team had to change it's name during Season 35 (April 2008) to SOTV at the request of a GM.

SOTV play their home games at Soi Paradise. The arena has been extensively developed and redesigned over the years and has reached a total capacity of 83 000, having started with a capacity of just 6 000. Despite the improvements in the infrastructure at the ground, the pies are still cold in the middle and the toilets are knee-deep in p***.

SOTV's record attendance is 76,560. This was achieved for a qualifier match against Fylde College on 30th August, 2009.

Honours

SOTV have won five division III titles, one division IV title and one division V title. They have also finished league runners-up 7 times. The furthest they have reached in the cup is the 9th round, which they have reached on 4 occasions. The club also has 3 League Top Scorer awards, all won by Andrew Currer.
