The Riverpool Athletic Club is football team from Corrientes, in Argentina. The club was founded the 9 of january on 2014 and they join in the Seventh División of Argentina, in what division only plays one season and the Riverpool wins the second positión and get the promotion to the Sixth División where is the actually league of the team.

History

Foundation

The club was founded el 9 of January de 2014 in the season 54, after several proposals, they decided to call "Riverpool Athletic Club" and in the same day they sign the founded document and Hans Low was elected for the first president in the club and principal founder of it. The most of founders where descendents from Spanish people, and a one minority was descendent from British people.

First Seasons

The club join in the Argentinian Federation of Hattrick and El club ingresó en la Federación Argentina de Hattrick and was part of the of the national league system entering the last national division, the Seventh División of Argentina,in that division the team wins the second place and gets the promotion to the Sixth División

In Sixth División, the Riverpool could keep the category obtaining the fifth position forcing the team to play the playoffs relegation versus Granadero Baigorria F.C. The match was played on the 27 of August in 2014 and the match end with a victory 6-0 of Riverpool with the great participation of Iñigo Demaría who scores four goals in only 10 minutes and he was the key for the victory.

The Riverpool will play the second season in the Sixth División but this time with the new coach Carlos Ángel Whebe who an ex-player from the team and who plays in the theam that won the promotion to Sixth División.

The T-Shirt of Riverpool is a one of the most importants symbols of the team, the T-Shirt was elected the same day was the team join in the Argentinian Federation of Hattrick and the shirt never change. The alternative T-Shirt was black the first season, but with the promotion to Sixth División the president change the T-Shirt for a red T-Shirt. The new t-shirt significate the blood and attitude of the players who won the first promotion.

Logo

Like in many soccer T-Shirts of football, have the existence of a shield in it and its a very important symbol of the institution. In the actuallity Riverpool have the logo of the team in the left side, the fans call the name "side of heart"

Actually the logo is the most important symbol of the team.

Anthem

El himno del Riverpool se llama "Nunca caminaras solo" y se eligió como himno por pura casualidad, pues la canción sonaba en la megafonía del estadio siempre a la misma hora, ya que, evidentemente, pertenecía a la cinta que se ponía antes de todos los partidos, pero un día el sistema de sonido del estadio se rompió y la canción no sonó, los fieles seguidores del Riverpool acostumbrados a la misma banda sonora todos los domingos, se dieron cuenta del detalle y, casi en broma, empezaron a cantarla, al parecer el estadio quedó mudo al acabar, de repente saltó el equipo al césped y se formó una gran ovación que acabó con el público cantando de nuevo el himno que hasta hoy se canta en los partidos del club.
