The reason why I am writing on this page is that we will really need policies if the HT-wiki is to be a success and if it is to benefit the community. It is impossible for a single person or just a few users to implement a policy. This has to be an effort of all of us. So I am proposing to ''create a project that will be the centre stage for guidelines and policy discussions''. What do you think about this idea? --[[User:Cryout|Cryout]] 20:19, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Introduction

  • A HattrickWikiProject is a collection of pages devoted to the management of a specific family of information within the Hattrick Wiki. It is not a place to write hattrick articles, but a resource to help coordinate and organize article writing.
  • A HattrickWikiproject is designed to co-ordinate the efforts of several users, and to allow a group of conceptually related pages to have similar structures and appearance. However, using a HattrickWikiProject adds a considerable amount of additional effort and administration and it only begins to deliver value once several users are actively involved.
  • Why should I care about HattrickWikiProjects? Because that way you can discuss with other users the best way to do most things in the Wiki: from layout to policies, as well as style issues, agreements, best practices on a centralized page. And by discussing those concepts, this Wiki can benefit a lot!

Proposed Projects

  1. Hattrick:HattrickWikiProject Templates
  2. Hattrick:HattrickWikiProject Policies and guidelines

Guidelines Creation and Implementation

I created a guideline so we don't get that many articles on somebody's team or new youth pull. Check this out and comment on it, please: Help:Contents#Guidelines_for_wiki.hattrick.org! The reason why I am writing on this page is that we will really need policies if the HT-wiki is to be a success and if it is to benefit the community. It is impossible for a single person or just a few users to implement a policy. This has to be an effort of all of us. So I am proposing to create a project that will be the centre stage for guidelines and policy discussions. What do you think about this idea? --Cryout 20:19, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I've created Hattrick:HattrickWikiProject Policies and guidelines, if you agree we can move this comment to that page.
