The inaugural California Friendly Cup was held in Season 39. The Cup logo was created by Balboa Banana Slugs manager Mikal2.
Participants
Despite the large number of users in the California Region, only 6 teams registered for the first California Friendly Cup, including the first international entrant, 1896 Lyn (En Pryd For By'n).
The six teams were placed in a single group, which due to time constraints played the first 4 rounds of a 5 round group stage. The top four ranked teams after the group stage would advance to the Semi-final round.
