Overview

Melita Eagles started off in the English Vth division in season 22. The team struggled along but managed to survive its first season finishing 6th, only to be autorelegated in the next season.

The move to the newly formed Maltese league allowed the club to start afresh without repeating past mistakes. Previous experience of the game and some luck allowed them to auto promote to II.1 in their first season. However life in II.1 was hard and despite some good results relegated back to III.

The return to III allowed Melita to rebuild the squad and return with a much more competitve squad to II. Avoiding II.1 and arriving in a relatively easier II.3 allowed the team to retain its division II status.
