Whereas on the regional competition, the Campeonato Paranaense, the "Flying Shamrocks" won two times the first division and were the runners-up once. Such good seasons lead the club to the Brazilian Liga dos Campeoes in two opportunities, in one of them the Paranaenses finished in second, losing the final of the national Wednesdays' league in the penalty kicks (3-2).
