Copa Argentina Diego Armando Maradona (2) is the Argentinian main national cup, and the competition has been held since the global season 11.
Today's format includes 13 rounds, but there have been many variations over the seasons: there were 11 rounds in seasons 15 and 16, 13 rounds in season 17 and 18, 15 in seasons 19 to 50, then 14 rounds until season 51. Before cup system Reform of season 56, 32 768 teams participated in the cup and competition was divided in 15 rounds.
Besides, the final has been played with home/away formula from season 11 to 23 (note that data until season 15 are lost).
Currently, all rounds are single-elimination, single-elimination matches. If it ends in a draw, it is decided on penalties.
