Nullstellensatz FC 2-3 Locomotiv Leyland - 24th December 2006
This was the team's first competetive game, and for so long it seemed like they would get off to a great start. Lokomotiv have just been relelgated, so were expecting a victory. But after Holger Puetzer gave the away side the lead, two special event goals from Henko Steenkamp put the home side in the lead. Alas it was not to be, as a Jorge Faria double in the last 7 minutes saved Leyland's blushes.
Nullstellensatz FC 3-1 Elm Tree Escimoes - 14th January 2007 (League)
The team's first competetive win. The previous weekend's results found the team 6 points adrift of safety, and badly in need of points. The manager obliged with the signings of Jon-Ander Atria and Sampo Pysto. Atria contributed to a dominating midfield performance, and Pysto grabbed two goals before half-time, Aarni Suopohja getting the other. Lee Glendinning replied from a second-half corner but it was not enough.
thwaitsey fc 2-2 Nullstellensatz FC - 11th March 2007 (League)
The most dramatic game in the club's history to date. The equation on the day was simple: thwaitsey fc needed a win to survive and send their visitors down. The away side were the clear favourites, but terrible confidence contributed to them missing chance after chance. thwaitsey fc played CA and went into a 2-0 lead. Jimmy Talams replied immediately, but it was not until the 84th minute that Dougie Loftus saved his team's division VI status.
Tonbridge Claret & Blue 2-3 Nullstellensatz FC 24th June 2007 (League)
Two down after half an hour to heavy favoutites Tonbridge, the team replied with a terrific performance, and three goals - one from Samuele Arciozzi and two from Sampo Pysto to snatch the game in the dying moments.
Nullstellensatz FC 5-4 The Special Ones 24th July 2007 (Cup)
The club's only second round cup victory and probably the most exciting game to date. Michael Haraldsson extra-time winner separated the sides.
Nullstellensatz FC 8-1 Lokomotiv Leyland 26th August 2007 (League)
The club's biggest win over an active side - and their former tormentors. A bold AIM AOA MOTS tactic at home brough its dividends, as Samuele Arciozzi and Jimmy Talamas both grabbed hattricks. Ringer Wouter den Otter distinguished himself with a brace.
AC Wombles 6-4 Nullstellensatz FC - 28th October 2007 (Qualifier)
The club's low point to date. Four midfielders were signed and a traning session sacrificed in an attempt to defeat the superior Wombles, however a last minute signing of their own by the home side meant the team's AOA AIM tactic was doomed to fail. More damaging than the result was the damage done to the club finances by the strangely sluggish resale prices - the club made a 200k pound loss on Dale Davenport alone. The scorers for the team were Talamas, Davenport (pen), Vuorela and Drury. The team reached 178 Hatstats on the day.
Nullstellensatz 4-3 claytons x1
In what turned out to be a transition season for the club, the one highlight was finally (on the 8th attempt) beating claytons. An all-out attacking formation blitzed the opposition in the first half, with Dylan Drury and Jimmy Talamas getting two goals each. However, low stamina levels together with the team adopting a more defensive attitude meant claytons came well and truly back into the game after the break, but did not quite have the midfield power to draw level.
