Obsidian XI was originally founded 22nd March 2008 by Michael_Gill, originally under the guise of GoalScoringSuperstarHero, a nod back to a certain video game of yesteryear. GoalScoringSuperstarHero began in Series VI.712 and against much stronger competition the team struggled to compete, eventually culminating in their relegation to VII.877. At this point, the club re-branded and Obsidian XI were born.
