Obsidian XI was originally founded 22nd March 2008 by Michael_Gill, originally under the guise of GoalScoringSuperstarHero, a nod back to a certain video game of yesteryear. GoalScoringSuperstarHero began in Season 35 as a Series VI.712 side, though against much stronger competition the team struggled to compete, eventually culminating in their relegation to VII.877. At this point, the club re-branded and Obsidian XI were born.
