Kingy Wolves History
Kingy Wolves came of existence on the 13/03/07 after entrepreneur Drew bought manutd glory and renamed it to the current Kingy Wolves phenomenon.
Wolves are based on a real life team but have achieved much more success than the real life equivalent.
In an historic first season for Wolves in division VI.27, Wolves were crowned premiers and achieved promotion to division V in a qualification match in which Wolves were large underdogs. Wovles made lean work of the New Zealand division V team, Playerz FC, and took their place in division V.208.
Since that historic day, Wolves have welcomed the tag of underdog and have relished in the pressure. So much so that a name change to UnderdogsFC almost came about.
Unfortunately for Wolves, this sudden run of success was not sustainable in div V and they dropped out in their first season.
Wolves again dominated div VI upon their return and were once again promoted in 2008 to div V.I. This time Wolves did manage to stay up and be competitive, finishing third in their first season up.
After four seasons in which Drew was still learning the ropes, Wolves managed to finish 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 4th respectively in division V.I.
== Notable players ==
Past Amongst Wolves' inaugural team was several players who stood out for the club and served very long careers playing for the green and gold.
Hamid Mahmoud - Wolves first excellent player. This forward scored 42 goals in the league competition for Wolves in just 65 matches.
Juaquin Cascajo Castro - played a long stint with the club, being the heart of Wolves' midfield for many successful seasons, and racking up 88 matches.
Arlen Douglas - Wolves best defender for several quality seasons. Many, including club owner Drew, see the sale of Arlen as a huge mistake and wish that he was back at the club. Douglas sold for over $800,000 in order to fund Wolves' midfield development.
Gatis Bludzs - Wolves' first choice keeper from their inception back in 2007. Gatis made the number one jersey his until 2009 when he made for prodigal youth team promotion, Will Thompson.
Present
Julain Gietemann - Gietemann was bought in 2008 as a supernatural playmaker and has only dropped one playmaking skill rating to date (3/7/09) as a 34 year old. During his career at Wolves he has been made captain, is the oldest player on Wolves' roster, has never lost his starting spot, and has been made coach. He is a true inspiration and a legend at Wolves who will live on long after his retirement.
Piero Stiletto - The only player from Wolves' inaugural season to still be at the club. He is beloved member of the squad and holds the club record for most appearances.
Jordi Montal - With a winning bid of $2, 658, 000 Montal became Wolves best defender and holds the record for largest transfer fee on the 26-1-09, and remains Wolves' largest purchase (current as of 3-7-09)
Will Thompson - A prodigy of Wolves' youth academy. Thompson was promoted at the tender age of 17 and slid straight into the number one jersey, pushing out Gatis. In his first season the young gun keeper increased three skill levels and continues to grow. He is the greatest youth pull Wolves have ever seen and has not missed a match in his career. Will is currently being scouted by the Oceania under 20 side, although it is probable that he will not make an appearance for the "Sea Slugs". Will single handedly brought about a change in training regime for Wolves, and his star value at the club has seen him become a fan favourite.
Aurelian Gheorgiu - Aurelian became the club's first magnificent scorer and set piece specialist after his arrival in 2009. He expertise in front of goal is revered throughout the club.

Oceanian Cup ==
Although Wolves have achieved unmeasured success in a very short period of time in the league, their cup run has been somewhat less impressive. Wolves have only made it to round three in the cup and can't seem to shake the round three curse.

Kingy Wolves Youth' ==
Kingy Wolves Youth, or KWY, has produced several quality players, all of whom have gone on to make good careers in the hattrick world. The most notable of promotions were;
Will Thompson - solid keeper, weak set pieces.
Reegan Longland - passable winger, inadequate scoring, weak playmaking.
Mangajay Wedderburn - solid winger, inadequate playmaking, inadequate passing, weak defending.
Alan Braithewaite - passable playmaking, inadequate passing.
Taunui Arambasic - passable scoring, inadequate passing, inadequate set pieces.
Blair Simmons - passable defending, passable winger, weak passing.
Vipul Tate - passable winger, inadequate playmaking, passable passing.
KWY has produced 2 players who have been short listed for national team duty.
