Stadium

Fortuyn Memorial Stadium

Since the start of FC Rotterdam in 2003 the club is playing in the same stadium in the centre of Rotterdam. The stadium had three major rebuildings in 2004, 2006 and 2009 to improve the capacity to the amount it is nowadays. In may 2004 the board of the club and the supporters decided to rename their stadium and give it the name: Fortuyn Memorial Stadium. The stadium is named after former Dutch politicus Pim Fortuyn who was murdered at 6 may 2002.
