Brill Red Star is a team situated in Buckinghamshire, England. The team is managed by red-star-11 and was founded on 14th April 2008, midway through season 35. Originally the club was named Red Star 11, but was changed to Brill Red Star between seasons 35 and 36. The team currently play in VI.527 in the English league system, and home matches are played at the club's Windmill Street stadium, which has a capacity of 24,000.
The club's colours are red, white and black, previously just red and white. The current colours are displayed in the club logo, home kit, and stadium. The club crest is a red star, with a thick black circle around it containing the full name.
The name of the club was inspired by Serbian club Red Star Belgrade, the colours were inspired by manager red-star-11's favourite team Manchester United. Recently there have been talks of a change in name but this is unlikely to happen in the near future.
Club History
The club was founded halfway through Season 35 as Red Star 11 and started in the relegation zone of VI.242 with only a handful of points, due to the neglect by the owners of the previous club. Relegation always looked inevitable from the very start, and despite the best efforts of the manager and players, the inevitable indeed did happen.
Between seasons 35 and 36, the club changed it's name from Red Star 11 to Brill Red Star, and moved from Red Star Park to their current Windmill Street ground. Season 36 was a rather boring affair, with matches against mostly ownerless teams and bots all season in VII.528, finishing top with 13 wins and 1 draw.
The club were back in VI for season 37, this time in VI.527. The primary ambition was to stay up, a target which was achieved fairly comfortably, relegation never really looked the likely outcome. A 5th place finish was achieved, a position which was equalled the following season. Season 37 was also when the club's youth team was founded, named Brill United. Season 39 was when the breakthrough into the top half of VI.527 was achieved, followed by a very surprising 2nd place finish in season 40, thanks to a few lucky wins and the form of striker Bas Jan Huijbens. The aim for the immediate future is promotion to V.
