Overview
The Hattrick Manager Network Open is a tournament based primarily on the Hattrick Manager Network. In 06/05/2014 Hattrick.org introduced to all hattrick users The Manager Network, a means for managers to keep track of teams and managers they care about. It gives you the option to invite any user to join your Network. In my view, a very good way to start a friendship. It also gives the users a quick way to scan what teams in your Network are up to. Most importantly by introducing the Network Hattrick wants to lay the foundation for a more connected and fun experience. In the end helping to improve the design of the game and navigation of the site.

The Hattrick Manager Network Open is a tournament based on the Hattrick,org Manager Network module. One of it's main goals is to create a community of managers interacting, with the goal of instilling fair and friendly play. Please feel free to access the in-game forum to discuss and share your thoughts on match outcomes, as well as any ideas you have regarding the tournament.

Season 7 Word
Welcome one and all to phase II, season 7 of the H.M.N.O. tournament. it’s always a great pleasure to see returning clubs, and also to greet clubs that are participating in this tournament for the first time. As for Phase I, I’d have to say that it was a memorable six season bonanza with a great deal of excitement and drama, a big thank you to all who took part. Additionally, a quick look back at some of the clubs that deserve mention, H.M.N.O. tournament wins: Ferocious Kiwis, Toronto White Star, Olé Paranoia, Wincobank Ironopolis, HeadShots, FC Vantoux. H.M.N.O. Shield bearers: Kondori on the two occasions, as well as H.M.N.O. top club trophy. The elusive H.M.N.O. treble winners cup has yet to have an owner; possibly in phase II. So, without further ado, good luck to one and all, but most importantly let’s have fun. Furthermore, the in-game forum is a good place for discussion or for the latest information, so don’t forget to subscribe.

H.M.N.O Community Shield
The H.M.N.O. Community Shield is awarded to the club that accrues the most points within 3 seasons in the H.M.N.O. top ten ranking system.

H.M.N.O. Top Club Recipient
The H.M.N.O. Top Club trophy will be awarded to the club with the most points overall in a six season period. It is the acme of the tournament, on average a minimum of 18 and maximum of 42 matches per club will have been played to decide the overall winner. After the final season, the overall points and Shield points for clubs will be given a clean slate.

H.M.N.O. Treble Winners
The elusive H.M.N.O. Treble Winners Cup goes to the club(s) that win three H.M.N.O. Championship Rings. The H.M.N.O. Treble Cup is no doubt one of the grandeur of achievements in the Hatrick Masters Network Open.

Current Rules and Format
| a) 32 club round robin, 8 groups of 4 clubs. |
| b) Top two point earners of each group advance. |
| c) Round of 16 knock-out stage. |
| d) Round of 8 (Quarter Finals) knock-out stage. |
| e) Round of 4 (Semi Finals) knock-out stage. |
| f) H.M.N.O. Final match. |
| a) Superior number of points obtained in matches. |
| b) Superior goal difference. |
| c) Superior number of goals scored. |
| d) Superior number of wins. |
| e) Penalty shoot-out winners get 2 points, defeated get 1 point. |
| Criteria a) If 2 or more player's are tied for MoT, it goes to the player who's club has most wins. |
| Criteria ai) Player who's club has a superior goal difference. |
| b) For Top Scorer, Hattrick ranking system will be used. |
| a) These two awards will be decided at the quarter finals stage of the tournamnet. |
| a) Wins, 3 points, regardless of penalty shoot-out. |
| b) Draws, 1 point. |
| c) Losses 0 points, regardless of penalty shoot-out. |
| d) Rank sharing for clubs at equal points. Verify section below if at equal points. |
| e) CSR - Community Shield Ranking. CSR point system renews after Shield is awarded. |
| ei) OR - Overall Ranking. OR point system renews after 6 seasons. |
| Criteria a) Most wins. |
| Criteria b) The club with the most stars. (a star is given per season to the club that has advanced the furthest in the tournament.) |
| Criteria c) At managers discretion, a bypass of criteria 1 & 2 will be accepted on the grounds that single(s) match(es) will be organized between clubs involved to determine the winner. |
| Criteria d) If non of the criteria are met, the shield will be shared by the clubs. |
| a) The Cup is awarded to any club that is crowned season champion on 3 occasions. |
