The Golden League
The Golden League is the flagship competition of the HTUM Managers’ Federation, embodying the spirit of friendly rivalry and tactical mastery. Launched on **27th July 2011**, with the first-ever match between The Flaming Wodkas FC and Horus Falcons (5-1 victory for the Falcons), the Golden League has grown into an iconic competition featuring both league and knockout formats.
Championship Format
The Golden League Championship runs across **two Hattrick seasons**:
- **Season 1** (Weeks 1-16): Teams compete in any midweek matches (friendly, domestic league, or domestic cup) that automatically count towards the Championship leaderboard. No arrangements are required, allowing for organic competition.
- **Season 2** (Weeks 1-9): Championship matches continue until the top 16 teams are determined.
- **Season 2** (Week 10): The **Golden League Masters** begins, featuring:
* Two-legged knockouts for the **Round of 16, Quarterfinals, and Semifinals.** * A **Third-Place Playoff** and the **GL Masters Final**, showcasing the best of the best.
