Al-Ahli Football Club, commonly referred to as Al-Ahli FC Yemen (Arabic: النادي الأهلي اليمني), in english is The National is a professional Hattrick football club based in San'a, Yemen. Founded in 2025, the club competes in the Yemeni League System and is known for its strong national identity, passionate fanbase, and symbolic branding inspired by both Yemeni heritage and the legacy of arabic defunct clubs like Palestine SC
The club's motto is “Pride in Unity” (Arabic: العز في الوحدة), reflecting its mission to unify and uplift yemeni and arabic communities through football in Hattrick.
The club plays in Sana'a International Stadium, located in the capital of Yemen, Sana'a'
History
Al-Ahli FC was established in October 2025 as a separate branch of the former Palestinian Sports Club as a new symbol of Yemeni pride and unity during a time of national rebuilding. The club was heavily inspired by the history and structure of Palestine SC of Ramallah, Palestine, but tailored its identity to the cultural, historical, and social landscape of Yemen.
The club quickly became known for its modern infrastructure, youth academy programs across multiple cities (Sana’a, Aden, Taiz, and Hodeida), and emphasis on community development Thanks to Palestinian support in the city, all the infrastructure and energy of the old Ramallah club was transferred to Yemen, to form its own community based on national and Arabic development. Under the strongest union of national identity and Arab commonwealth, the club decided to name itself Al-Ahli FC or The Nacional in Arabic.
The First president of the club is Mehdi Nawas, who appointed some palestine advisors and people of the former club to establish the philosophy and the support of the club in Yemen. They contacted BezantCo to provide the necessary logistical support for the construction of the club and to register in the IV division of Yemen

Al-Ahli FC’s crest features a stylized golden lion set against a red shield with a rising sun behind it, symbolizing courage, hope, and national resurgence. At the base of the emblem, a white banner displays the inscription “Al-Ahli FC – Sana’a 2025”.

Philosophy and Identity
The club calls its historical tradition of playing almost exclusively with players born or trained in the historical territory of Arabic World its "sporting philosophy."
Our sporting philosophy is governed by the principle that players who have come from our own youth academy and those trained in clubs in the Arabic World, which includes the following countries: Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, Morrocco, Argelia, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Comoros, Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordania, Irak, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Djibouti, Palestine, as well as, of course, players who were born in any of them, can play in our ranks
The club was born with the strong idea of creating a club with a strong Arab identity to represent the philosophy, culture, and beliefs of the Arab world. This is what the club's board of directors, the founding president, and the Christian subsidiaries in South America who support the project have envisioned. The club's policy is to hire only players from the Middle East and build a competitive roster along those lines. Therefore, it has a strict restriction on hiring European, American, or African players, only players from the Arab world.
This also applies to the hiring of players from Israel, unless they have Arab roots or Arab descent, which is the only exception for their hiring and incorporation into the club. Players of Arab descent who are European, such as Spanish or Portuguese, can also be hired.
Iran players
Due to Iran's strong ties with Yemen, there has been discussion about maintaining an Arab philosophy within the club, as it would be more beneficial and competitive in the local league by hiring Iranian talent. This, given the club's cultural roots and ties to the Iranian people, has been accepted.
Youth Team
The club has a youth academy located in Arjan, called Shabab Al-Ahli. His training grounds are called Al-Thawra Sports City
Al-Ahli youth club called Shabab Al-Ahliis focused on developing young players from across the country, focusing its efforts in Sana'a, Adan and Tai'z. So far, it has provided many players and nurtured the first team in the development of the team at the national and regional levels. The recruitment area for young footballers expands throughout the country through a wide network of scouts working for AHL. The club's technical secretariat also attends numerous important international tournaments each year to scout and monitor the best prospects in the country.
In addition, with the collaboration of other sister clubs such as FC Bizancio, it has managed to perfect its recruitment and training of players.
