Can you please add HG for Hattrick Gadget?
Please link the full name description, not the acronym.
I think, that we should exclude abbreviations like AFAIK, IMHO, LOL, etc. For those we can refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_slang
I have a question regarding the inclusion of Federation acronyms in this list, should them be allowed? In my opinion they should be kept out of the list, since they are not used as widely as the "universal" abbreviations (WO, GM, MOD, FW, ...); it would be hard to tell the line between a "know federation that enters this list" and a "highly popular federation, but not enough for the list". I also think abbreviations such as LOL, BTL, ROFL should not be included, since they are not specific to Hattrick. I see this list as a list of HT-specific acronyms that are accepted by the majority of HT-users.--duno7 21:37, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
I agree federations and forum-slang should be kept out,
I've taken it upon myself to split this into letters. This will help when the list of acronyms starts to get a bit longer, or if someone is looking for an acronym and only can remember the starting letter.

We should come to agreement on how to use Capitols. For instance there's HOL and DotS in the list. (Shouldn't that be DitS?) I propose only to use Capitols for abbreviations. --ukelele 09:13, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
It's probably one of those things that varies from conference to conference. It's always HoL and DotS on newbie (English) for example. Dancing rob 12:05, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

How come its just this page that has seen all the attacks recently? And from multiple locations.
- Maybe someone can temporarily lock the
5A8 page?
- Maybe we can only allow edits from logged in users?
- Maybe we can only allow new accounts verified as a HT user?

I think we'd need at least one (that should be enough) user with an authority to lock a page in case of continuous vandalism. --Jhattara 21:05, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

- The point is, we need Admins badly. So IMO we should take the initiative and create a wiki program similar to RFA so we can elect our own admins, and hopefully Sysop will go along with it and promote those who are elected to admin. -Catalyst 23:37:43, 2006-03-31 (UTC)
Incidentally, the 66.87 netblock appears to be comcast U.S. cable modems. The most recently reverted spamvertising was from Westland, MI, while going back a little further shows entries from Denver, CO. --Mr Wednesday 01:06, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
If we know that vandalism is apparently bot-driven and coming from a particular netblock, would there be any value in reporting it to the owner of the netblock? Do we even have anybody aside from Htsysop in a position to do so? --Mr Wedne 5A8 sday 23:33, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Protection
For now, I've protected this page from editing. Unfortunately this wiki does not have the option to semi-protect, only full protection. I apologize for the inconvenience, but with roughly five vandalisms per day, it's just not practical to try to keep the page unprotected. Hakerpaps, Jhattara, and I will be establishing a policy both for protection of pages and punishment of repeated vandals over the next few days, but as at least a temporary solution to this problem, I feel protection is necessary. --Catalyst 18:55:14, 2006-11-02 (UTC)
