Mercenaries

Mercenaries are extremely high skilled players with huge salaries that flow from one team to another. Most of them are over-trained national players. Because of the huge salaries they are also kindda cheap.

Usually they are hired for short periods of time to win difficult matches and some consider this to be a winning tactic for National Cups. Hiring few mercs may have a tremendous effect on the final matches of a cup. Such teams use to spend a few seasons gathering of money just to pay salaries for such monsters and agent fees. They also usualy sell the mercs back at smaller prices so they also lose money there. But they will get a Cup and bragging rights so they consider themselves lucky.

Some argue that hiring mercenaries is not in the spirit of the game but the pro side says that for fame it can be done as long as the game allows it.

Being national team players they can't be fired so this is also considered an alternative to farming.
