Der Verein Fighting Gorillas Kampala wurde am '''12.02.2016''' gegründet, und spielt momentan in der '''Liga III. 2''' in [[Uganda]].
Die Gorillas sind nach den [[Mighty Rats Paramaribo]] aus [[Suriname]] der zweite Partnerverein von [[Bärn City F.C.]]. In Uganda soll ein Verein nach europäischer Vereinskultur und -struktur aufgebaut werden.

== Welcome Gorillas! == 

Mitte Februar 2016 wurde in Kampala Geschichte geschrieben. Die Pressekonferenz in der Kampala Arena weckte grosses Interesse bei der nationalen und gar internationalen Presse. Die Fighting Gorillas Kampala wurden offiziell gegründet. Bereits die ersten Spielerverpflichtungen waren sehr vielversprechend. Der Manager setzte von Beginn weg auf junge Mittelfeld-Talente und unterstützte das Team mit sehr erfahrenen Spielern welche sogar bereits für Ihre Nationalmannschaften spielten. 
Diese Strategie zeigte bereits früh seine Wirkung. Zwar schied der Verein aus der ersten Runde des nationalen Pokals klar aus, doch schaffte er es anschliessend im Uganda Consolation Cup bis in den Viertelfinal. 



== Kamapala Arena == 

Eigens für die Fighting Gorillas Kampala wurde ein neues Stadion gebaut. In der Hauptstadt Ugandas wurde mit Unterstützung europäischer Investoren ein Stadion für 12.000 Zuschauer gebaut. Der erste Umbau wurde Anfang März gestartet, um die fehlenden VIP-Logen zu bauen.
