The Northern Ireland Manager's Federation, known colloquially as NIMF, (AllianceID: 11548) was founded to provide a forum for managers from Northern Ireland or those from elsewhere who train Northern Irish players.
It currently has approximately 37 members, and is a federation for Northern Irish managers to come together and discuss tactics, transfers, training, national and international players. The federation is also open to foreign managers who are training a Northern Irish player.
The NIMF Cup
The NIMF Cup is an internal competition for members of the federation, run in the latter half of the season when most if not all have been eliminated from the national cup.
The Buckfast Challenge
A one week challenge where NIMF, occasionally using non-fed ringers from the NI conference to assist, challenge a federation or national conference, usually held towards the end of each season. Previous winners have included Ireland and Japan, though NIMF did manage to secure a fluke win against Scotland once.
This challenge cup has been in retirement of late with no fed challenges taking place.
Members
NIMF was founded by Polo_Ulster, and for some time was led by one-time Northern Ireland U20 Manager x3widRacin who also provided the NIMF logo. Its first elected fed leader, was Jam57, who resigned to run the NI U20 team. Followed by Gordy, a former U20 manager. There was recently an election to replace him, but they forgot to count the votes.
The fed is currently being run by Lemmiwinks and has become a useful source for scouting, training and national match reporting. A lot of good work is currently on-going to look after the future interests of our community.
