Japan (日本, Nippon (or Nihon) in Japanese) is a Far East Asian country. It was the 20th nation to join the Hattrick World.

Geography.png Japan is an island country comprises five main islands (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa) and and archipelago of 6 852 islands, covering 377 975 square kilometers (145 937 sq mi). Tokyo is the capital the most populous metropolitan area in the world with more than 37 million residents, nearly one third of the entire population of 126 million.
Around 9th century, Japan became unified under an Emperor. Starting in the 12th century, however, political power was held by a series of military dictators (shōgun), feudal lords (daimyō), and a class of warrior nobility (samurai). In 1868, the restorated Empire adopted a Western-style constitution and pursued industrialization and modernization.

History

  • Japanese league was created in May 2001 (global season 13).
  • Although in Hattrick Japan is divided in 11 regions, the most of Nippon teams (incl. bots) are from Tokyo.
  • In 2002, Nippon hosted World Cup I together with Hanguk. NT was eliminated in pre-qualification match.
