Pilsner Pirates is a Dutch professional Hattrick football club located in Winterswijk, Gelderland.

History

Pilsner Pirates was founded on the 30th of May, 2011. Manager Buul had played Hattrick for several years before, respectively with JBU Winterswijk and Wenters Athletic. After a sabbatical of several months, he thought it was time to start a new team and to accept the challenge to be successful in Hattrick once again.

Season 34: May - June 2011

The control of the team was taken over as Round 10 (out of 14) was just played and PP was in second position in de VIII. At this moment it seems that the Pirates easily will maintain their second position, and therefore will enforce protomion towards the seventh tier of the Dutch leaguesystem. Obviously, this would be a disaster as an average VII-league is way too strong for a beginning team like Pilsner Pirates.

Stadium

Pilsner Pirates plays its home matches at the small and cozy Pirate Bay. At the moment the stadium can hold 12 000 spectators. It is located in the west of Winterswijk, close to a railway station and a well-known fastfood restaurant. In the furure, as the Pirates will become more successful, the stadium will be expanded up to approx. 18 000 seats.
