Pilsner Pirates is a Dutch professional Hattrick football club located in Winterswijk, Gelderland.

History

Pilsner Pirates was founded on the 30th of May, 2011. Manager Buul had played Hattrick for several years before, respectively with JBU Winterswijk and Wenters Athletic. After a sabbatical of several months, he thought it was time to start a new team and to accept the challenge to be successful in Hattrick once again.

Season 34: May - June 2011

The control of the team was taken over as Round 10 (out of 14) was just played and PP was in second position in de VIII. Four more rounds were played, of which three were won and one game was lost. The second place didn't force Pilsner Pirates to play in de seventh division for the next season, as was expected.

Season 35: July - October 2011

Prior to season 35 the team was enforced with players like Carreiras (GK), Baéz (DEF), Egaña (DEF), Donderer (FW) and Valle (FW). With 42 points out of fourteen matches, PP managed to promote towards the seventh tier in Dutch football.

Season 36: November 2011 - January 2012

As a result of the promotion towards the VII, the management decided to enlarge the stadium towards 18 000 seats. Also, new players to enforce PP are expected.

Stadium

Pilsner Pirates plays its home matches at the small and cozy Pirate Bay. At the moment the stadium can hold 18 000 spectators. It is located in the west of Winterswijk, close to a railway station and a well-known fastfood restaurant.
