Lineups

A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Zaragoza. They fielded: Otxoaerrarte - Alonso de Santocildes, Fisci, Powell, Graňák, Sánchez - Garalazabal, Gonzalo Anes, Ganogald, Savater - Lavín.

Dinamo decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. Lineup: Cristea - Maktabi, Stadler, Yaniv, Torsson, Manev - Bercea, Ilina, Szatvári - Negoiţă, Topârceanu.

First half

After 7 minutes, Dinamo put themselves up 0 - 1, as Eddie Cummings finished off a play from the left with a real rocket. After 8 minutes, Dinamo's Neđo Đedović successfully broke up a pass with his face. Instinctively, he got up again only to unintentionally use his now-throbbing schnozz to break up a second pass. As he was carted off for a concussion check, Jens Versijpt ran onto the field to take his place. The referee signaled a penalty 11 minutes into the game following a foul that was right on the line. Ciprian Tudurean knocked it home to make the score 0 - 2. A thrilling play through the middle after 29 minutes gave Dinamo's Ciprian Tudurean a chance to increase the lead, and he happily obliged. The score was then 0 - 3. Dinamo's players now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Dinamo's Dimitar Manev received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 41 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 0 - 4. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! Bogdan Dănilă increased the visitors' lead by volleying in a pass from the right. 0 - 5. 0 - 5 was the score after the first half. Dinamo were doing a good job holding on to the ball, with 88 percent of possession.

Second half

Some fine one-twos on the left led to a Dinamo goal with 52 minutes gone, making it 0 - 6. Ciprian Tudurean was noted down as the scorer. At that, Ciprian Tudurean was noted down for a hattrick! Eddie Cummings had put in a good 60 minutes and left the field with a smile on his face due to his team's lead. Fred Zubairu was the replacement. The visitors' Laith Hamdi Al-Jabry took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 60 minutes into the match. 0 - 7 for Dinamo. After 63 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Dimitar Manev who increased Dinamo's lead to 0 - 8. The home crowd was not impressed when Dimitar Manev came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 65 minutes. Dinamo were now up 0 - 9. One, two, three goals! That completed a hattrick for Dimitar Manev. AH! AH! AH! After 66 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Dinamo found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to weak. The game had been going for 67 minutes when Fred Zubairu broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 10 for Dinamo, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 74 minutes Echipa străzii's Tudor-Bogdan Toma had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. Teodor Vătăşoiu came in to replace him. Dinamo won the midfield battle for the half, with 90 percent possession of the ball.

Antoniu Stănescu performed admirably for Echipa străzii. Paolo Cardamone turned in a dismal performance, however. Dinamo's best player was Mark Grobov. However, Laith Hamdi Al-Jabry made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 10.
