Jose Ibarra was pulled from the youth of Vasgo de Yucatan. Without even playing a match there Jose was bought by Teachers Chalk (then known as Rob's jongens). Since then Jose played allmost every league and cup match for Teachers Chalk, gaining a lot of experience.
At april 6th 2007 Ibarra made his debut for the Guatemala U-20 national team against El Salvador.
