Background
İzmir is the second-largest port (after İstanbul) and the third most populous city (2,409,000 in 2000) of Turkey, is located on the Aegean Sea near the Gulf of İzmir. It is the capital of the İzmir Province. It is not an industrial center, rather a local trade point within Aegean region. Yet it is a beautiful city and is one of the important cities in history of Turks.
In Hattrick, although İzmir is the third largest region, the clubs of the region did not have a cup success. Currently there is no teams from İzmir present at Süper Lig.
