Players with the head speciality can feature in special events during a match.
- Defenders and inner midfielders with the head specialty sometimes attempt to control the ball using their head when they should use their feet, which can be taken advantage of by an opponent's technical winger or forward, thus giving them a chance to score. However, this event is comparatively rare.
- Wingers and forwards are capable of scoring directly with a header from a cross by a winger.
- The higher the number of head specialists in your team, and the lower the number of head specialists among your opponent's, the better your chances to score from a corner.
Head is generally regarded as one of the best specialities in the game.
