History

AFC Armadillo are in their 12th season of professional football, having joined the Hattrick league in September 2007.

The club was founded midway through season 33 and immediately appointed benno337 as manager. The team played their home games at 'The Underground', located in Norwich, with a capacity of 12,000. Joining division VI.337, a regime of Playmaking training kick started the clubs strategy to success.

Early Years: Seasons 33-36

The first ever match ended in a 2-1 loss away to Westhoughton, with Thomas Blunn scoring the goal. After losing the next 2 games, the Armadillo's finally earned their first 3 pts after a 1-0 away win to liverpool superstars. The season ended on a high with the club also winning the last 2 games of the season. benno337 had steered the team away from relegation and managed to finish in a respectable 4th place.

Season 34 involved many players coming and going and with the gradual improvment in team performace, benno337 led his the team to 2nd place. The introduction of the clubs Youth Academy was also a massive decision, that has gone on to become a worthwhile investment.

The upwards curve continued with another 2nd place in season 35 after finishing on 30 pts, 12 behind the league winners, bensboys. However, it was the Armadillos turn to celebrate in season 36, when they were crowned champions of VI.337. Unfortunately, promotion was not to be after a 3-0 loss in the qualifiers away to Candian Spurs.
