La "Coppa Oltremella" e' una Coppa privata, organizzata dalla "Federazione Oltremella". La Coppa e' stata inizialmente creata come una Coppa tra amici della zona nord-ovest di Brescia, ma sin dalla II edizione ha ospitato squadre da fuori regione ed oggi e' aperta a squadre da tutt'Italia. La Coppa si gioca nella seconda meta' della stagione, dalla IX alla XIV settimana (la finale si disputa il martedi' che precede la partita conclusiva della stagione). Dalla stagione 35 ad oggi sono state disputate 11 edizioni della Coppa, rendendola ormai uno degli eventi storici del panorama hattrichiano italiano, nonche' un appuntamento fisso nel calendario stagionale per le squadre che vi partecipano. Per mantenere lo spirito amichevole per cui la coppa e' stata istituita, l'ammissione viene data di preferenza alle squadre che si sono coperte di gloria nelle passate edizioni, ma ad ogni edizione nuovi team si aggiungono ad allungare la fila delle squadre che via via si sono affrontate per vincere l'ambito trofeo.

Cenni storici

Fondazione La "Coppa Oltremella" (altrimenti nota come "Coppa O!") fu fondata nel marzo 2008 da andreben80, e disputata nella dua prima edizione a partire dal 15-4-2008. In questa prima edizione si sfidarono manager invitati da andreben e piu' o meno direttamente collegati al quartiere di Brescia noto col nome di Torricella. Da qui il nome della coppa che si riferisce a quell'area della citta' sviluppatasi nella seconda meta' del secolo scorso al di la' del fiume Mella. Dopo la bottizzazione di alcuni dei membri fondatori, la Coppa ha perso la sua connotazione spiccatamente familiare e si e' aperta ad altre squadre della citta' e della provincia ed e' stato dato libero accesso anche a squadre militanti nelle altre regioni d'Italia.
Il torneo: Le prime edizioni della Coppa Oltremella (I, III-V) sono state giocate tra otto contendenti ad eliminazione diretta. La seconda e sesta edizione hanno visto affrontarsi 16 squadre in una fase preliminare a gironi, seguita dalle semifinali tra le vincitrici di ciascuno dei quattro gironi di qualificazione. Dalla VII edizione si e' preferito pero' allungare il torneo di una settimana per permettere anche alle seconde classificate di ognuno dei quattro gironi di accedere alla fase finale del torneo, che prevede ora anche un turno in cui si disputano i quarti di finale ad eliminazione diretta.

Gestione della Coppa

Ammissione: L'iscrizione alla Coppa puo' avvenire a partire da 3-4 settimane prima dell'inizio della competizione, una volta che e' stata creata la nuova edizione del torneo sul sito di Cupmanager. L'inizio delle iscrizioni alla nuova edizione della Coppa e' annunciato tramite una Newsletter spedita ai membri della Federazione Oltremella, o mediante inviti personali spediti dagli organizzatori (trotti o krautboy) ai manager delle squadre interessate attraverso HT-mails. Le richieste di iscrizione delle squadre possono essere inoltrate sul sito di cupmanager utilizzando il proprio account personale fino ad una settimana prima dell'inizio del torneo. La sera del martedi' precedente l'inizio della Coppa (VII settimana dell'anno hattrickiano) le 16 squadre che daranno vita al torneo sono raggruppate in quattro gironi formati in base all'Oltremella cup ranking.
Fase a gironi: Per formare gironi il piu' possibile equilibrati ed evitare che le squadre piu' titolate si eliminino subito tra loro nella prima fase del torneo, fino alla X edizione della Coppa si e' provveduto a distribuire le squadre in quattro fasce formate in vase all'Hattrick Cup Rank di ognuna delle squadre partecipanti. Le quattro squadre appartenenti ad ogni fascia vengono smistate casualmente in ognuno dei quattro gironi. Dall'XI edizione, visto il consolidarsi di un gruppo di squadre che partecipano alla coppa, la formazione dei gironi e' stata realizzata in base all'Oltremella Cup Rank. Le partite della fase a gironi vengono disputate con regole normali su campo neutro lombardo, ad eccezione delle partite disputate tra squadre fuori regione che si giocano su campi di squadre di regioni terze.
Eliminatory phase: In the eliminatory phase, again matches are played on neutral ground, but Cup rules are applied.
Internal cup ranking: The internal cup ranking attributes points according to the results a team achieves during its career in the Coppa Oltremella. For every match played, a team acquires 3 points for a victory or 1 point for a draw, whereas losses do not acredit points. 5 points are awarded for every qualification for a quarterfinal, 10 points for playing a semifinal and 15 point for reaching the final of an Cup edition. The winner of an Oltremella Cup receives an extra bonus of 25 points. Currently, the Cup Ranking is lead by Athletic UC with a record of 404 accumulated points (internal cup ranking).
Exclusion Giving walkovers is not accepted in the Coppa Oltremella, and leads to a direct exclusion from the current edition and future admissions to the cup

Famous Teams

• Carzagese[1] (by lucescuro) was the first team to win three editions of the Coppa Oltremella. Carzagese has participated from the 1st until the 9th edition without interuption, but decided to retire from hattrick for private reasons.
• Athletic UC[2] (by trotti) is the current and most decorated champion of the Coppa Oltemella with four cup trophies so far.
• Idioteque[3] (by muralev) has participated in 6 editions of the Coppa Oltemella and won the 7th edition.

Memorabilia

• Andrea Giaccone[19], a mediocre player with 2850 TSI caused a lot of controversion by scoring an hattrick in the ed.2 semifinal Athletic U.C. – Santacroce 3-0. The record for the most cup goals in a single match though goes to Giovanni Marangon[20], who scored 4 goals in the ed. semifinal Concesio City – Dinamo Fede 4-0.
• Among the most powerful and noteable players ever to participate at the Cup are Ly Ung[21], Keeper of Cambodia National Team, and Dick Russell[22], Idioteques top sorer and a TSI of 136870 the strongest Player ever to play the Cup.
• Enrico Virdis[23], at the age of 17 years and 0 day was the youngest player ever to be fielded in the 11th edition of the Coppa Oltremella. His counterpart was Zoryn Karpenko[24], at the age of 54y 101d the oldest player ever to be fielded.
• On ..., RSL Brescia fielded 8 players from its own youth squad.
• A tragic figure, entitled most negative player, is Mircea Borcea[25]. The strong forward was red carded in the lost semifinal of the 7th edition and in the lost final of the 8th edition.
• Among the strongest rivals in the Cup can be found Carzagese and Athletic U.C., who met in two quarter finals and three finals played, and Athletic U.C. – Idioteque F.C. who played four semifinals aginst each other.
