Name
Atlético Comercio was founded on the 23th of February, 2004 as Commercie Utd FC. The name references to the ever increasing importance of economy in football, and therefore the necessary commercial activities of football clubs. After one season the name was changed since the owner preferred the better sounding name Atlético Commercio. Another three seasons later the linguistic error was removed and the club was renamed to Atlético Comercio, the current name.
Stadium

In the first season the team played in a small stadium in Noord-Brabant with a capacity of 7,000. After that season the team relocated to Eindhoven where it build Estadio de Comercio. The initial capacity was 10,000. With the growth of the club the stadium size was increased several times, with a maximum capacity of 75,000. Nowadays it can host up to 68,400 visitors.

History
Comercio v0
Atlético Comercio started in VII.138 in Dutch season 11 (global season 22). Although Comercio did not spend money in the early weeks to prevent for beginner mistakes those happened anyway. The first transfers did not bring better players to the squad, later transfers almost caused bankruptcy in the second season. Furthermore did Comercio not replace the weak trainer early on, and did not train in the first season and very badly in the second season with the weak trainer and also weak players. The best example of weak management was a MOTS in the first season against the superior champion (1-8 loss), therefore also losing the last two matches and missing promotion, although that probably would've been a disaster itself.
Comercio v1
In the third season Atlético Comercio had sold most of their best players. In three consequential weeks three solid goalkeepers were promoted from the youth, two of them were trained that season. After that season one was sold to give funds for a few playmaking trainees and some experienced players to ensure promotion. Due to a line-up mistake against the main competitor Comercio did not became champion, but with a second place VII.134 was left behind. From that moment the strategy did not change for many seasons. The best trained midfielders were sold to buy new trainees and slight improvements in defence and offence. With this strategy Atlético Comercio improved slowly over time. In the first season in VI.755 the club managed to survive with a fifth place, the second season a third place was accomplished, far behind the championship contesters.
In the third season there seemed to be two main contesters again, with Atlético Comercio destined to be best of the rest. In the fifth match, against one of the protagonists, Comercio successfully tried a 4-5-1 formation with stacked wing. The second half of the season this tactics also worked both away matches against the competitors. All other matches also ended in a win, and Atlético Comercio turned out to be champion on goal difference. Since a MOTS was used the last match to ensure the championship the qualification match was a bridge too far (5-2 loss). The season afterwards this could not repeat this level of performance, and Comercio ended second nine points behind the champion. And altough the fifth season at VI.755 resembled the third season with the perfect score in the second half in the season, this time the championship wasn't reached because the competitor had a better goal difference.
The sixth started with an away loss against last years champion, and only one point was secured at the first two home matches. Although league performance was bad with four points after four matches, Comercio survived round after round in the cup. In the fifth round a team getting to the eleventh round the season before visited Estadio de Comercio. Copying the opponent's tactics Comercio crushed them with 7-2. This performance could not be repeated the next round, so all eyes turned to the league. With ten victories in a row the championship was won at the last match day, beating the competitor with 4-0. The qualification match ended in a small loss, 1-2, so promotion was not achieved. This was achieved the season afterwards. Only one match didn't end in a win but an unlucky draw because the opponent managed to get four set pieces with 37%/36% possession and virtually no attack ratings, but it was a minor setback towards championship and promotion.
To be continued.
Comercio v2
During season 29 (global season 40) Stef310 felt the current strategy had reached its top performance level. With an aging squad a decline in performance level was bound to happen. Therefore Stef310 decided to start over, buying youngsters to train them for the team instead of the transfer market. The entire squad was sold and two young keepers joined the club to begin the construction of Comercio 2.0.
