The Gardiner Group, which normally deals with real estate, aquired the then Alaska Samurais on 9/ 27/2004 from user SaintBob, for 3 million US$ and a penthouse apartment in a Barbados Condo the Group Owns. With the deal finalized, a dynasty began.
The Majority owner of the Gardiner Group, Nicholas Gardiner, a.k.a NRaider, relocated the Alaska Samurais to his home town of Dallas, Texas just before Season 24. Trabzonspor Atheletic Club was the new name for this team. Named after the Turkish football team, becuase he thought it would make them a more confident team.
