: I'd go with "based on research", but not "based on fact" since the HT's have verified little to none of these bugs. [[User:Kc-jake|-- Jake]] 20:18, 23 August 2006 (UTC) | |||

character counter
You don't think the pixelwidth blabla was a good explanation? The title-included theory certainly isn't. ;-) --ukelele 08:29, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- If you understand something about databases you can disregard outright the pixel theory. As for the character count explanations in the current article, they are both quite plausible depending on the structure of the database. --Jhattara 08:34, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- I know little about databases, but i know something about webdesign and fitting a certain amount of characters in a box that's limited by pixelwidth can be problem. Typing only 'www' instead of 'iii' will matter a lot in a non-monospaced font. The messegebox is just (i.e.) 200x200 pxl and it can't stretch if you decide to type 300 w's. But I'm not sure on this at all, just a theory. If HT weren't down I would go and check straight away. --ukelele 08:49, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- The textbox where you enter the text might be of limited size, but everywhere where the data is shown varies in height according to the amount of data entered. The limit on characters used is almost certainly related to the amount of characters allowed in appropriate database sections. And there is no feasible way to limit the amount of text you enter according to how much space it would take with a non-monospace font. --Jhattara 10:15, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- That sounds feasible. It just came to me that if the pixel theory were true, your post would probably end with half, cut thought the middle, characters. So it's bull afterall. ;-)
Why in the bugs page there are links to non-ht sites? This is spam.
- Yes, it was spam. It's quite frequent in here and can be dealth easily by reverting to the older version of the page. --Jhattara 12:24, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
TS-drops when selling players
This seems completely false. Even some research that has been posted on the wiki refutes this. -- Jake 17:03, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- It's true. That research is outdated. The feature seems to be broken since the server problems in March this year. --ukelele 17:15, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
