Summary
Following is the list of most popular ideas that have been suggested by Hattrick managers to the HT-team, but for various reasons have been deemed impossible or unlikely to be implemented.
One important purpose of this page is to keep managers from starting 'let's implement this' type of threads in the Global conference every time a new manager has the same bright idea that someone else submitted a week ago. This would also save HT-team the trouble of explaining the same things over and over again.
Please start a separate section for each idea and put up an explanation why it wouldn't be implemented. Quote the original if possible.
Champions League
Throughout most of Hattrick's history there have been numerous proposals requesting the developers to create a Champions League, however to this point they have all been rejected for various reasons. There are some serious obstacles which need to be overcome before a Champions League could be implemented. Several of these obstacles depend on the format and would include the possibility of a third game during the week, additional training for higher level teams and timing considerations. Several opponents of a Champions League have also expressed concern that the financial rewards involved in a Champions League would bias the game towards the uppermost level teams. Because of these and other concerns, the Hattrick Team have declared that they have no intention of implementing a Champions League in the game for the forseeable future.
A Hattrick user Calvert, a lower level manager in the United States, decided to run a simulated Champions League based on a proposal he had submitted in October 2004. His simulation however doesn't involve playing any 'real' matches and thus cannot use the Hattrick match engine.
