HTVision Song Contest is an international song competition, arranged since 11.12.2011. It's an adaptation of HTvision Song Contest (Deutschland) which takes place on non-HT Deutschland from 12.05.2011. Any HT-country can take part in the contest. Sixteen countries took part in the 15th contest.

Instructions

Local organisers

HTvision Song Contest can only be a success with the help of local organisers. What do they need to do?

1) Find a song that represents their country in HTvision. This should be done in accordance with the community (so, a Non-HT topic in her/his country should be started). However, the local organiser decides how to put through this process.

2) Conduct voting for the songs of the final round of HTvision amongst the community of their country. The exact way of voting process is decided by the local organiser. Do you want to become the local organiser of your country? Just register yourself in this topic.

Schedule

1) We need to find local organisers: every Hattrick-country can participate if there is at least one local organiser. The official deadline for registration of local organisers is Sunday the 23rd of February.

2) Find the song that represents your country in HTvision: local organisers can start this process (i.e. start a topic in Non-HT of her/his country) as soon as (s)he wants to. These songs should be sent to me via HT-mail at last Sunday the 1st of March.

3) The voting for the final contest: the voting starts a few days later (to give countries the chance to change their song if their original entry did not follow the rules). Results of the voting should be sent to me via HT-mail at last Sunday the 22nd of March.

4) Each country will announce the points of their voting. This will happen between Tuesday the 24th of March and Saturday the 28th of March.

Rules

1) The performer(s) of the song need to have the nationality of the country they represent. For groups, this means at least half of the members need to have the nationality of the country they represent and/or the group is based in the country they represent.

2) The song shall not have participated in the international round of the Eurovision Song Contest.

3) We are looking for new and original music, so please avoid worldwide-known songs. Still, the final decision is made by local organiser. However: a song that is clearly a cover is not allowed. A song that only uses certain samples (but for the rest is original on its own) or a song that is not recognisable as a cover (even though is strictly is one) is also allowed.

4) The song has to follow the Hattrick-rules, therefore political songs or songs that somehow break those rules are not allowed to participate. Local organisers should consult the local nominations with their local Moderators or GMs if (s)he is not sure whether the song is against the rules or not.

5) The nominated song can be changed if it is against the rules (e.g. it is clearly a cover or the artist is foreign), but only if the voting hasn't started yet and only if there is an immediate replacement. It is of course also the responsibility of the local organiser to try making sure their country will not select a song that is against the rules.

Points

1) It is up to the local organiser to determine how to vote for their entry and how to vote for the final contest. However, the top-ten in the final contest will be rewarded the same way as in the Eurovision Song Contest (i.e. 12, 10 and 8 to 1 points).

2) Countries are not allowed to award points to their own entry.

3) In case of doubt the Eurovision rules/traditions are the guideline.
