Helsinki Huskies

The Helsinki Huskies is a football club from Finland that plays in the sixth division. The club was founded by Beeldenstorm F.C. and Grindavík Grizzlies owner Dronkert86 on april 20th 2021. The Finnish football association placed the newcomers from the capital in division VI.311 with 6 other new teams. During the first two weeks the Huskies played 4 friendly games to prepare for their very first season, also the club bought several players and appointed a new head coach from France, Damien Autissier. There was a lot going on in the first weeks where the Huskies signed a deal so they can lease a stadium. The name of the stadium was presented with every boardmember of the club, the players and the staff and one or two journalists who didn't know why their weir there. The name of the stadium is The Huskies Nest and there is room for 12.000 new fans. We also build a new youth academy where we hope to find the next big thing for the Huskies. We weir surprised to find out that shortly after the club was founded, their already was a fanclub. With no less then 100 fans we had a new fanclub named the Howling Huskies. Every ingredient is here to have a succesfull future at the Helsinki Huskies

Staff members

During the first weeks owner Dronkert86 and secretary Bobby Jackson had a full schedule to have job interviews and other relevant business that happens in a football club. We first signed French coach Damien Autissier who coached Zamuro72 from Spain before he entered his job interview at Helsinki. The former defender made everyone enthusiastic about his plans and vision on attacking football. Needless to say, we signed him the same day. As his assistents we hired Daniel Lecklin who is experienced with defensive football and Jouko Iso-Tuisku who knows everything about set pieces and tactics. We expect that form coach Hans Österman deliver every saturday our players in their best shape on the pitch and Tristan Väisänen takes care of injury's. Kimmo Pikkarainen is responsible for the youth players and we expect a lot from our youth academy. Julian Säynäjäkangas, Tuomas Ala-Aho and Tino Tenkula are signed to scout talented youngsters.

First team squad

The next phase was to sign players for our club. With our budget it was a difficult task but we our confident that we have a balanced, eager and promising squad. Most of the players weir free agents and relatively cheap to sign, we also bought three young prospects where we expect that they will leave the club with a lot of experience and for a great amount of money at the end of the season. Coach Damien Autissier said that he trusts in his squad and expect great wins for the Helsinki Huskies

Club colors and jersey's

Dutch owner Dronkert decided that his clubs had to have the colors of his home nation, red, white and blue but also from their own country. Beeldenstorm F.C. from the Netherlands has the color red in his logo and jersey's. Icelandic team the Grindavík Grizzlies have the color blue in their logo and jersey's so it was clear the our team from Finland had to have white in their representation. We organized a contest for our fans where they could create a logo and jersey's and we are proud to say that it was a great succes. The home jersey is white with blue and red lines and our away jersey is green with black and blue lines.
