A Cup Game is a competitive match between two Cup opponents. League games occur on Friendly Days, which usually is on a Tuesday or Wednesday. 67% of the income from league game ticket sales goes to the home team, and 33% to the away team. Every Country in Hattrick has a Cup, and most countries give the opportunity for teams from every league level to earn a cup spot, though usually teams in the bottom division have to make a strong finish the previous season. When you lose a cup match, you are eliminated from the cup for that season. Users that are participating in the National Cup are unable to schedule a Friendly.
Cup matches never end in a tie. A shootout automatically ensues if the teams are tied after regular time. A cup match is not a Friendly with cup rules.
