Paata Janashvili

Paata Janashvili is legendary retired football player who used to play in Gulebi and METE2. The majority of his great career he spent in Gulebi, playing as central forward. He was given number 9 shirt even when he was only 16 years. He was not fast, but his ability to shoot by his right foot like a cannon has made him one of the best. For his 15 Years spent in Gulebi Janashvili scored 856 goals in 1035 matches and most of them was scored by head. At the age of 31 Janashvili moved to METE2 where he was only a shadow of his past. Some say that he too much loved Gulebi, and could not prove himself in other team. Now Tournament and Winagulebi's stadium is named after Paata's name. Paata Janashvili's son Bejan Janashvili is also footballer and playes for Gulebi.
