As manager of a Hattrick club, you have many responsibilities other than merely playing matches. You will need to control the economy of your team (or even teams if you create a professional youth team), and are responsible for organising a long term strategy based around training.
A long-term game
Don't expect instant results in Hattrick.
You do not receive enough money initially to be able to afford to win immediately, so you should plan for the long term.

Establish a program based on a single training strategy and then use the money that remains to improve your squad. As your young players train, you will be able to sell them and use the proceeds to buy other players to improve your squad or even set-up a professional youth team to feed your main squad with young talent.
