Nl/Middenveld
Het middenveld van een team bepaald het balbezit in een wedstrijd. Hoe hoger het balbezit is, hoe groter de kans wordt om reguliere doelkansen te krijgen.
Het middenveld wordt vooral bepaald door:
- Positiespel Centrale middenvelders
- Positiespel Vleugelspelers
- Positiespel Centrale verdedigers
- Positiespel Vleugelverdedigers
Hoewel ook defensieve spitsen kunnen bijdragen aan het middenveld.

Non-Linear Relationship
LLoko (Lokomotiv Lund, ABC of tactics) has made an investigation on the ball possession to number of chance ratio which shows that the number of chances is not linear to the ball possession; from 65% and upwards, it is very likely that the opponent will not receive a single chance. This knowledge is the basis behind the so-called "All out tactics".
HT-Hasse has made statements in the conferences that directly contradict this theory, but was later dismissed by HT-Tjecken. See the possession page for more information.
