Rune Sandve, often just called 'Husi', is a former Norwegian forward who is most known from his time at SK Brann, where he in total played 309 games and scored 216 goals. He is currently the head youth coach at SK Brann Football Academy.
He was discovered by one of Brann's youth scout when he was 16 years old, and the scout was very impressed. The scout had noticed that Sandve had a unique talent for his age in regards of positioning himself at the right place at the right time, and also had lightning fast pace like none other. Therefore, Sandve was offered an amateur contract with the SK Brann Football Academy. Over the next two years, he proved himself good enough for the senior squad, and was offered a professional contract. Even though he in the 8-0 win against Pondus United scoring two times, he struggled to make his proper breakthrough at Brann. After his first three weeks as a professional footballer he only made one appearance for the Reds, so a transfer was then arranged to rivals Stord, for 50.000€. He quickly made his way into Stord's starting eleven, and in his second season at the club, he contributed with 17 league goals, and was both awarded the Golden Boot, and was crowned division VII champions with Stord. However, things would take a turn for the worse from there. He started to get less and less minutes on the field, and was once more finding himself at a halt in his career.
The news about Sandve's situation sooner or later reached Brann manager Eilanda's ears, and in GS 40, he arranged a transfer to bring Sandve back to Brann Stadion. The transfer fee this time was 188.800€, over three times the amount Sandve left Brann for only a couple of seasons prior. However, this would prove to be well worth it, as Sandve was one of Brann's key players for the remaining of his career. He played a total of 169 official games during his second term with the club, and scored 144 goals, giving him an impressive goal average of 0,85. He was part of the great squad that won the division V championship in GS 55, and also got crowned three times division VI champions in GS 48, 50, and 53. Sandve's final game was his testimonial match against Stord (498439937), a fitting end to a truly marvelous career.
