Vrbovsko Lumberjacks is a Croatian Hattrick football club from Rijeka region, founded by zwonziii on January 8th, 2008.

Vrbovsko Lumberjacks is currently competing in 1. HNL.

While this team isn't first team managed by its current manager zwonziii, it is by far his most successful and active team, winning one division II, one division III, one division IV, four division V and four division VI titles.

Team history

Team was founded on January 8th, 2008 by long time Hattrick fan zwonziii. Original name of the team was d1sconnect, but shortly after its creation team went through successful rebranding and changed its name to HNK Vrbovsko (February 13th, 2008). On April 29th, 2021 team was renamed again (Lovnik Vrbovsko) to honor beautiful landscape and rich football history of city of Vrbovsko.

On March 20th, 2022 team was bought by a local businessman and changed its name to Vrbovsko Lumberjacks.

Vrbovsko Lumberjacks started competing in season 19 and joined league VI.8. After only four seasons, Vrbovsko Lumberjacks won its first title and entered division V in season 24.

Golden period of Vrbovsko Lumberjacks started in season 27 when team qualified for division IV for the first time in its history. During that period, team achieved two top-half finishes (4th place) and played in a 6th round of Croatian cup.

During past few season Vrbovsko Lumberjacks went under a lot of changes and periods of uncertainty, but manager zwonziii finally managed to consolidate the team and club finances, and is leading the club to its second Golden age with a help of bright, young talents like Zvonimir "Mrcina" Gadže (456011919).

Modern days

On 6th of August 2021, Samuel "Rivaldo" Lemezina (451823175) became first Vrbovsko Lumberjacks player that played official game for Croatian U-21 national team. To celebrate this great achievement, club management released a press statement, which you can read here. Zvonimir 'Mrcina' Gadže (456011919) followed his path - 'Mrcina' made his debut for Croatian U-21 NT on November 5th, 2021.

Vrbovsko Lumberjacks earned its first tournament trophy on a sunny November day (November 8th, 2021) by winning Borbra kup sezona 2 tournament.

After nine seasons without a league trophy, Vrbovsko Lumberjacks has secured a title of league champions on round 12 of season 64 with a boring draw against PM2.

Lumberjacks finally managed to win a promotion to fourth division in season 65.

Season 68 marked a new all-time high for Vrbovsko when team managed to win its' first division IV title. This accomplishment earned them direct promotion to third division.

In season 69 Vrbovsko Lumberjacks were celebrating again after finishing first in third division and securing promotion to second division. Also, team enjoyed their best cup performance ever by reaching round 6 out of 11 rounds.

Vrbovsko Lumberjacks achieved historic success in season 71 after winning second division title and earning direct promotion to the elite division of Croatian Hattrick.
