Virsliga

History

Highest football league in Latvija, exists since year 1992. Virslīga is a summer time event (happens from may to october), till 2007 year there play 8 teams. From 2008 year there will play 10 teams.. Has played 16 seasons, 13 of what won by FC Skonto ,one by Liepajas Metalurgs and two by FK Venstpils.
