Atlantic Vikings was founded on the 11th of November 2003 by manager MOD-Jogvan. Originally the club was named Jogvansa Ítróttarfelag, but only one season later the name was changed to Atlantic Vikings. The Vikings played in the Faroese top series 1. Deild, but is currently placed in the Faroese III.3.
