Santos was discovered by B/quilla F.C. but he was relegated to play friendlies his first two seasons. In order to have more choices to play, he was trasferred to Arepa Pepa where he played during 18 seasons. He retired when he was 37 years old and he was the player with more appearances in Arepa Pepa until this date, playing 219 matches between competitive and friendlies.
