The Pernambuco Cup (Copa Pernambuco, in Portuguese) is a regional competition that congregates teams of the State of Pernambuco. Currently it is divided in three divisions and the champion of the first division guarantees vacant in the Brazilian Champions League, and the second and third placed guarantee vacant in the Northeast Cup.

Currently it's being disputed the XXII Pernambuco Cup, with the participation of the following teams:

Reduced Rules

  • To dispute the Pernambuco Cup, the team of the user will have to belong to the region of Pernambuco. Any team, even not-affiliated to the federation, can participate, since that his club is from Pernambuco.
  • The Championship will be carried through by divisions. The separation of the clubs will be effected on the basis of the final classification of the previous cup.
  • The champion team of the previous Cup will be substituted by the champion of the previous Cup to dispute the Brazilian Champions League. This one, for its turn, will dispute the next edition of the Pernambuco Cup.
  • The teams classified in 3rd and 4th place in previous Pernambuco Cup will have to be chosen as the Pernambuco's representatives in the Brazilian Cup. These teams will come back in the following Pernambuco Cup.
  • In the First Division, the three last ones placed, will dispute the Second Division, while the three first ones of that one will dispute the First Division.
  • The Second Division will have the same project adopted in the First Division: the three last ones placed, will dispute the Third Division, while the three first ones of the Third Division will play the Second Division. In such a way, we will have one Second Division with 16 teams.
  • The Third Division is composed for the lowered teams of the second division; the inexperienced teams who in the previous season had participated in the match in this division and the teams who have made its registration for the very first time. For the inexperienced teams, who will have to assume the vacant of the third division, it will be considered the league of origin and the order of registration. The three best teams placed will go up for the Second Division.
  • In the case where some teams of a first or the second division to give up or not to confirm its participation in the Cup, this vacant will be delivered for the teams of the second or third division (second either the case) that it was 4th ranked. The maximum number of teamses who will go up of automatic division will be until 8th placed, if this number will be exceeded, the teams who had been lowered will remain in the division.
  • In the measure that is made the enrolled registrations and the number of teams increasing, more divisions will be created, being that the teams of the leagues of the lowest divisions will occupy these vacant.
  • First Phase: Each is disputed in four groups with 4 teams. Games of all against all in an only turn are carried through; The allocation of the teamses will be given considering the database that determines the groups. All the games of this first phase will be carried through in the Way "Normal", not being allowed the Rules of the Cup.
  • In case that the club not yet has been eliminated of the Brazilian Cup, the user will have to communicate to the commission organizer, to prevent upheavals in the spreading of the table. The match will initiate with the one without the presence of the teams, being that in the case the teams who will be in the Brazilian Cup, will lose the game for W.O. and the result will be of 2 - 0 - W.O since the teams is interested in participating but for the fact to be in the Brazilian Cup he is not possible to confirm the challenge to it.
  • Second Phase: The two first teams of each group will be classified for the semifinals. The games will be carried through of the following form: the winner of the group face the 2nd of group D; the winner of group B faces 2nd of group C; winner of group C faces the 2nd of group B and the winner of group D faces 2nd of the group A. The games will be carried through in the field of the teams of better campaign in the match. The games in this phase will be carried through in only game in the way Cup Rules - (Regras da Copa, in Portuguese). In case that this rule is not obeyed, the defied one will play with the advantage of one tie to follow ahead.
  • The winners of the matches will dispute the semifinals and the winners of this confrontation will be classified to the final, that takes the winner to have the right to dispute the Brazilian Champions League in the following season. The 2 losers will dispute the match for the 3rd place, that will define the second vacant to participate of the Northeast Cup. The second vacant to the Northeast Cup will be conquered for the runners-up of First Division.
  • Promotions and Relegations for all divisions: The teams that occupy the last rank in each one of the 4 groups, will be evaluated of form to determine which of these teams will be relegated. The 3 teams of worse performance automatically will be relegated. The organization will continue trying the accomplishment of the "match of the death", where the teams will play all against all, making possible that only one of these teams will continue in the division. Therefore, the number of relegated teams will be 3.
  • The teams that to occupy the 3 first ranks of the Second Division will automatically be promoted for the main division in the following Cup. In the same way, the ones that occupy the 3 first ranks of the third division automatically will be promoted for the second division of the following Cup and thus successively with the eventual other divisions.
  • In relation to the challenges: The reponsability of the challenge fits to the two teams; if exhaled the stated period challenge for none of the parts will not be made, the result of the match will be "W.W" with both of the parts not conquering any kind of pontuation. In case that one of the part proves that he has not responsability for the match not carried through, this team will be victorious for W.O., in the case of not being accepted for the other side. This does not hinder it visiting teams to make the challenge and to communicate it in the respective topic.
  • The game will be carried through in the field of the mandator, but just in case, the mandator may choice the option to carry through the game in the stadium of the defied one. It fits here to remember that, in the case of Regional games, the "field factor" has a minimal influence in the performance of the teams.
