FC Sugar Tits/Season 42
Season 42
Coach - Juri Brekelmans
Arena - The Valley of The Gods (25,000 max capacity)
The Tits opened the Season 42 campaign at home at The Valley of The Gods, hosting Series III.15 side MUX FC in the first round of the Íslandsbikarinn. During the off-season between seasons 40 and 41, the arena underwent a significant expansion, increasing its capacity from 18,000 to 25,000 fans. This season is the first to be fully-dedicated to training home grown talent culled from the Youth Academy. While Tits management has been open and honest about the team's low chances for wins this season, hopes remain high among The Underboob Army for a top four finish. Management expects angry fans.

| Hveragerði, Ísland - The skies have clouded over here at Gígur, where FC Sugar Tits will match up against 3rd place squad Grímsvötn (67528). A contingent of The Underboob Army made the trek to this rugged and remote corner of Iceland to cheer on their team with a new fight song, sung to the melody of Yesterday, by the Beatles.
Sugar Tits could vault into the league's 3rd spot with an unexpected win here today. The die is cast for a titanic struggle. Prepare yourselves, my fellow babies, for RAGNARÖK!!! |

| Hveragerði, Ísland - At a time when the upstarts rule the roost, it was a veteran who saved the bacon when winger Skírnir Hrafnkelsson broke through on the counterattack and beat the keeper off the right wing for the 0-1 goal. That proved to be the game winner as the Tits came through with the upset, beating Grímsvötn 0-1 in Hveragerði. The win pushed the Tits past Grímsvötn on goal differential and into 3rd place in the Series table.
The Tits fielded a rarely-used 3-4-3 formation - in fact, it was the first time the 3-4-3 had been used in a competitive match this season. The strategy was prescient, however. Pushing midfielders Blood Eagle Gautason and Dagger Bragason backward strengthened the defense, which ably shut down the one-striker attack employed by Grímsvötn. Wingers Ivanhoe Ívarsson and Skírnir Hrafnkelsson pushed forward relentlessly throughout the match, their wing attacks bolstered by strikers Puffinhead Einarsson and Double D Hafsteinsson. The middle forward position rotated between oldsters Brynjólfur Haraldsson (28) and Valur Loftsson (27), who used their experience to push the defense back through the middle, opening up the wings. The match was very nearly a two-nil affair, but Volcano Breath Eiðsson shot wide of the mark at the 10-minute mark after a bold counterattack down the right flank from his central defender position. All in all, the match went exactly as coach Gezellig Brekelmans predicted. He conceded midfield in his pre-game remarks and was spot-on when he predicted that the Tits attack would poke enough holes in the Grímsvötn dikes to secure the win. |
